RBTA going green.

BTA reached over and started stinging a neon green toadstool. Then the RBTA started becoming green. In the whole year I've had it it's never displayed any green, also the clone across the tank has no signs of green and is in similar lighting.

You can also notice how it's only on one area of the BTA (stinging part) I took this picture last week today the green is even more spread out I'll try to get some pictures when I get home.

Here's the same RBTA 2 months ago:

Thats weird. It probably has the genetic ability to produce either color. Clearly something has changed as the bulbs have now become more slender.

It's actually always slender, I took that older picture because it was odd that it got bubble tips. The clone across the tank is right in front of an mp20 and is always bubble tipped.

I know my LFS had a couple BTAs come in as "Rose" but were actually green with pinkish tips that looked exactly like rose ones when they were fully extended. They said it is a common occurrence and that it shouldn't be present in true rose bubble tips. It is a good looking anemone though.

It looks like the color (with green) has darkened up. It looks healthier now. I like the red w/green better. It is beautiful.
