RBTA help / advice needed

Wondering if I can get some advice on my RBTA. I'll start from the begining. Got a RBTA about 2 weeks ago and it disappeared the very next day and has never been found to this day. 3 days after it went missing, i went back to LFS to explain what was going on and they generously replaced it for free. My second one now has been trying to find a spot in my tank. He seems to move every night and I find him somewhere different every other day.

This morning found him on the sand. Here is a pic:



Got back home at noon today and he now was attached to the Goniopara next to it. Another pic:



I then went to do some things for a few minutes and when i got back, a hermit crab was on top of it, and he didnt look happy. Got the crab off then i picked up the Goniopara he was on and placed it a bit higher off the sand. Here is where he is now:



Does it look ok? Can i do anything else? My clowns have been looking for it all day today it seems.

Looks like he has a rough few days... Is the right side always short like that? Or were both sides the same length when you bought him?
They will walk about the tank until they find a place with the right light and flow until he is happy... Hope he moves off that coral, they will not like being that close to each other. Either the coral will not open or it will sting the RBTA, I cant remember which is meaner of the two in that case.

He was just fine until today...he was in the back of the tank yesterday and my 2 clowns have been driving him nuts playing in it. I'm hoping he finds another spot to attach to. It would not be a good idea to try and get him off i suppose correct?

To me.. and that's just from the few photos you have posted he looks like he found a power head and lost the right side of arms...
Taking him off that coral is easy... Remove him from the base his "foot" place him in the spot you want... GENTLY place a rock or something on him to make sure the current dose not blow him off the rock. In about a half hour pull the rock off... The clowns should not be a bother to him.. Expect him to move around until HE IS HAPPy...

In my experience BTA like to place their foot in a crevice. So if you have a rock that offers that type of a home for his foot use that.

He can return to that... But it looks like he found one of your powerheads and managed to get away from it...

That whole right side looks chewed up in your photos.. But in the video he looks healthy..

Thought i would post an update on this RBTA. Since my last post on him he has been sitting attached to the flowerpot coral for the whole time, some days he would deflate but looked better daily. Yesterday night I noticed he left from the flowerpot and now is back on a rock for the first time and looking just like he was in the video. Amazing recovery. I will try to get a pic of him later tonight if he is still in that spot.
