My rbta split 2 weeks ago and they are both all healed already. I fed it mysis 2 days ago and the mother doesn't take the food and the clone was eating happy. Just tried to feed the mother again with raw shrimp and still doesn't want to take food . It retract the tentacles when I gave food to it and doesn't grab the food. Any one that can help me? Should I worry?

I wouldn't worry, just may not want to eat. If she's staying inflated and looking pretty healthy, just leave her be for a few more weeks.

By the way my bta is hanging up side down on a rock and that makes me even more difficult to feed it.

Is the color good? I split mine like a month ago. They almost completely healed

The color of the mother clone is a little lighter and that's why I am worried. It still have the zooxanthellae, but it is not that dark as before. It is just a little little lighter in color. Will try to make a good picture tomorrow.

I think I know why it is not eating. The mother is not happy, she has just moved to an another spot. Probably not so happy with the old spot. The old spot was not the spot before the split. Hope it find a happy place soon. The clone is very happy and eating well , it is at the same spot before splitting, it haven't moved an inch.

Do you guys think it is a little lighter in color?

I hope it will eat soon. I want it to grow faster , it is so small now.

Don't worry too much, my rainbow rbta split 3 weeks ago, at first the clone was tiny, the size of a 1 cent coin, but in the last 10 days it quadrupled in volume, I fed it only once. Interestingly it distanced itself from the 'mother' about 3 inches away the day after the split, then went back close to her :)
Now they are making friends with my Gigantea :love1:

But it looks like the mother is bleaching. Or am I thinking too much?

I wouldn't worry for now. Your photos look quite desaturated, maybe it's your lighting?
Bta's don't really need to be spot fed as long as you provide good lighting, so don't get too concerned if they are not eating yet, they might be still weak. After mine split I didn't feed them anything for 2 weeks, then I just gave both some tiny pieces of shrimp, more out of curiosity to see if their mouth could handle food, which they did.

Maybe it is still need to settle down from the splitting. I will try to feed it again when it really have find a happy spot. Hope it is not really bleaching. Can they bleach from stress?
