RBTA Not Eating? Just put into Tank

Hi, I recently bought a RBTA for $25 from a friend, its a small lil nem. I put him in my tank today, and I was trying to feed him krill....he didn't accept it. Is there something I'm doing wrong.

give it some time to adjust to ur tank. try feeding it in a couple days.

He's gotten some sand in/by/in the area of/ his oral disk. Should I be worried? Or will he get it off somehow.

How long did your friend have this RBTA, before he sold it to you? How long, have you had your tank running?

Mine wouldn't eat for a few days when I first got it, but now it eats fine. It also went through a few days looking just awful, where I swore it was going to die, but looks great now. I don't think it liked being shipped. They just need some time to acclimate themselves. As long as your water quality is fine, don't worry about it. Also i wouldn't worry about the sand. Maybe blow it away with some current; otherwise I'm sure it will get rid of it itself.

Yea just relax. I usually just brush the food by the tentacles and if they don't grab it, I pull the food out. Sometimes they're just not hungry.

I don't ever target feed mine. They grow and split and grow and split just fine without it.

bump, tried feeding it, let's see what happens. I fed it krill.

Update, seems like he ate the krill. Yay

yeah when i put my rtba in it took almost a week for it to eat.... what i read is you just have to let it do its thing for a week or so until it settles in, then it should accept silversides or what not
