I purchased a RBTA 8 weeks ago. I properly acclimated it to my water, and placed it on a large rock on the side of my tank. It immediately crawled down to a crevest in the rock and planted its foot. I fed it a small piece of krill the following day. For the next 2.5 weeks I had great coloration and bubbles, but I noticed it wouldn't take anymore krill. Then one morning I woke up and it had moved down another inch or two into a large crevest in the rock. After 2 days in this spot, I woke up to find that the anemone had split. The two weeks following the split the anemone lost color and turned a dark purple color. Then one of the clones moved to the underside of the rock.
Jumping to the present, I still have one clone on top and the other clone on the bottom of the rock. They are both still very dark purple in color, no longer bubble, and completely cocoon themselves for most of the day. When they open, they only open a little bit and have small limp tentacles.
The tank is lit using 6 T5 bulbs on a 11 hour cycle. The daylights are only on for 4 hours. All parameters are spot on. Is there anything I can do or should I plan on finding two dead RBTA one morning?
