Hi everyone, I picked up an RBTA from a local reefer about 2 weeks ago. The anemone seems to be doing great. When I got the nem, it was attached to a rock that had been placed in a plastic cup in the original owners tank. I simply took the cup home, acclimated the nem, then set the cup into my tank so the nem was never out of water and always attached to the rock. Well, I placed the rock (and nem) right next to the spot where I wanted the nem to reside long term (as if it is really my choice
), and sure enough, the next morning, the nem had walked right into the exact spot I was thinking it would go. I have fed it selcon-soaked silversides 2 or 3 times now and it eats quick.
Anyways, the reason I'm posting is because I've never seen an RBTA with the white spots/lines that I see on my new nem. Here are a bunch of pictures I took the other day. If anybody has seen the white lines and can say that it's "normal" or that it might mean something bad, please let me know. Thanks!
First, the obligatory (sp?) FTS (nem is in the back):
Now onto the close-ups:
And finally, Spot (my smaller clown) has decided that there just isn't enough room in the RBTA for 2 clowns, so he has hosted the Frogspawn that I just added a few days ago. I guess it's just close enough that he doesn't feel like he's too far away from his girlfriend and his RBTA
:
Would appreciate any comments on the white lines in the nem. Thanks!
