Iv had an rbta in my tanks for about a year. It has split 5 times and even servived the power outage las summer. Over the last 4 or 5 weeks i have noticed that they are all slowly shrinking!!! I cant find a change in my water but i did change the water flow. The flow over the rbta is much stronger and steady. Could this be causing the shrinkage or is there a water problem im not finding?? Thanks...

Could be the flow. Have you recently bought a new package of food to feed them or changed brands of ca/alk supplement?

that's my boy! keep splitting anemone.

anyways, yeah its probably the flow. I notice when there's very little flow the expand more.

I got a package and I think it's a bad one so I bought another package. My anemone looked bad and my lionfish died that week too. I bought a new package and the anemone looked better immediately. Made me wonder and I was at a LFS and someone else there made a comment that they thought they had a bad package and it killed a few carpet's they thought. Not sure if that would even happen but it makes me wonder. It may even be impossible.

I don't know if it's possible either, but it's worth the extra couple of bucks to get a new pack. Mine prefers krill over silversides, but they seem to get freezer burned too easily.
