Rbta reaching

What is going on with this guy? Been in the tank over 2 months and moved around a lot. He settled at this spot for over two weeks but extends so far during the day. Is this normal?

Yup, they find a secure location for foot hold, flow and then reach for the light as they are photosynthetic

Mine all did this. And when they do they stay there which is good!
