I just use a plastic algae scraper and push against the edge of the foot slowly until I'm able to get the entire foot off...works everytime. You just have to be able to get to the foot.
I use a small plastic card like bondo bladed from HD and work it under the foot easy and slow and it lets go eventually. Have used a reg. screw driver and easily worked it under the foot too.
