RBTA war with torch caused split! Good or bad?

I woke up this morning to find my prized torched knocked over somehow and FACE DOWN on my prized extra large RBTA.

So I picked it up and one of the branches of my torch is pretty much completely fried. All the tips are just mangled.

My anemone had some spots that were pretty damaged as well, but there is nothing I could do and left for work.

Now I just got home from work and found that my anemone has split into at least two, maybe even three but I can't tell that for sure.

Pretty cool that now I have multiple anemones, but will they all survive or is the main one just eliminating the parts of it that was damaged?

I looked at the split and it has an area that looks torn and has all this white fleshy bubbly looking stuff.

So how tough are these anemones? Will all the splits make it?

The anemone was stressed by the trauma and it split. It's common. I've had a large one split into three pieces once--all lived. As anemones go, RBTA's are pretty tough.

update. it split into only two. the split has already starting moving across the tank and has settled in a spot about 12" from the original. both seem to be doing ok. guess time will tell... i'm keeping my fingers crossed.

If your tank conditions are good, they both will be fine. It takes a week or 10 days before you can start to feed small pieces of food.
