Rbta

We just lost our gbta a week ago, unknowing it was going to die we bought a rbta two weeks before that. The gbta wasn't eating before it died and we had a lot of inverts die. First I noticed that we didn't see the hermit crabs anymore. Then our snails were dropping one by one. Then the fighting conchs died.. I figured they died because there wasn't much algae for them to eat. We have one cerith snail left and 6 nassarius snails. Every snail shell we find are empty so I figure they were eaten by the super togan nassarius snails. Then our skunk cleaner shrimp was acting funny and then went belly up..week after that the GBTA melted and died.
While this was happening we were testing the water and found nothing the test kit was saying our water is where it should be. We thought maybe there is some thing wrong with the test kit and took a sample to the LFS. The lfs couldn't find any thing.. and we take samples of our water from the bottom of the tank. We also tested for metals and found no trace of metals in the tank.

I am very afraid...I don't want to lose this RBTA too. The rose isn't eating just like the GBTA before it died. We are doing 5 gallon water changes each week. I hope what ever is in that water will go away and the RBTA will start eating. If it doesn't start eating by next week. I think we will be taking it back to the LFS. What would you do in this situation?
Picture of our rose on the left side of the tank.

Picture of it after it moved to the right side of the tank.

It attached its foot under the rock we call clown rock because that is rock the ocellaris sleep under.

*bump* no advice or opinions.. huh?

My first guess would have been copper. But if you test neg for that then .......hmmmmm. Where to start......?

what kind of water are you using? if you're using tap water w/ chlorine killer, maybe you're overdose/underdosing the chlorine neutralizer?

don't dieing anemones expel some kind of chemicals in the water while they're dieing? maybe that's it?

what kind of lighting do you have?

what did the lfs test for? was it a petco? because i don't think they test for all the necessary water parameters.

We use RO water..we started the water with tap water mixed with prime in the very begining..That was ten months ago. You would think all the tap water would be gone by now. We top off with RO water and we also make our salt water with RO. Our local fish store is called animal wonders. They helped us start our first aquarium. They have a beautiful display tank and very healthy fish. I have only bought one fish from them that died on me but that was my own fault.. I know now not to buy the fish after they are delivered...
anyways....um we don't have a petco near by, if we did, I still wouldn't trust them. We have metal halides..(don't dieing anemones expel some kind of chemicals in the water while they're dieing? maybe that's it?) yeah I am thinking thats what happened to the snails and hermits. Wouldn't that cause the fish to die as well? We don't have any algae on the rocks or sand so I thought thats why they died. I really wish I knew what happened..The tank seems to be fixing itself I guess..the only cerith snail that survived through the small crash..just laid eggs today. I just wish the rbta would eat. :(

What about Carbon are you running Carbon?? I am having a bta dieing as we speak and i'm not running carbon, maybe i should be?

Yes, we run carbon and change our carbon filter when needed. We also have a seachem purigen filter that removes soluble and insoluble impurities from the water. Maybe we are filtering too much? We add calcium and Seachem Reef Plus to the tank. The reef plus is added twice a week as directed.
