Just curious as to what it looks like I'm missing....besides the pump...is it designed for the full flow of the pump ? How do I control the water level? I realize that it is modified....will just putting a Gaye valve in the outlet suffice for water level control?

You are missing plumbing on that .. where the white ninety is should be another T with a stand pipe that is cut at an angle that sits I. The T that u twist to control water flow but a big enough gate valve off the 90 should work
