I did it last night, kicking up a ton of sand and when I looked this morning, just about every rock of the 50-60lbs (all large rocks) had the white side facing me and the nice coraline and darker rock is facing the back of the tank. :(

I was going to ask how long it would take the white side to look as good as the otherside but I think I can answer my own question. As it took me 2 years to get the rock looking so good, I guess it will take another 2 years. :(

Shouldn't take that long maybe 2-3 months if your cal level is good. Everything time I add in a new rock it only takes about a month to blend in with the rest of the tank.

mine only took about 3-6 months to be full. if yours takes 2 years maybe you need to add supps......

Shouldn't take that long Bergamer. I rearrange my rock 2months ago and now everything is covered with Coraline. My Ca is not that high 410-420.

my cal levels are over 400, I just figured since my tank has been up and running for 2 years, that it would take 2 years to get the same exact look as the other side of the rocks. As the otherside has real good deep colors.

I don't have time to post any pics as I am working 10+ hours a day atm. But I will post some pics later this week.

Maybe I have some mutant coralline, but my rocks seem to get covered at least superficially in days to weeks. I think credit belongs to the bright MH lighting.
