Re-pairing ocellaris clownfish

A few nights ago one of my ocellaris clownfish decided it was time to go carpet surfing and managed to escape from the small crack on my mesh top of my tank (since now has been fixed). My clowns (Marshall and Lily) were my first fish so I am really upset about losing one. The slightly larger clownfish is the one still in my tank. She has been in my tank for about 8 months now and she is roughly 2-2 1/2 inches.

My girlfriend and I have worked very hard on this tank and would really love to try to repair Lily with another clownfish. The tank just doesn't seem to look right anymore without the pair swimming around together.

Now what is the best way to go about doing this? Get a clownfish slightly smaller or bigger? Just drop him in and let nature take its course ?(after putting him/her in QT of course). Is this even possible without the established one not putting a hurting on a new clownfish? She has never shown any signs of aggression to the other fish I have added over the time I have had my tank. Not sure since it will be in the same family if that will make her change her mind aggression wise.

Do you want to put in the same type of clown? If so post a loc and we will ID it for you.
Best thing to do is add a juvi about 1" to 1.5". Do It at night so no aggression happens at first. If she starts pounding on him you can putt him in a breeder net and she can see and smell him for a week. The. Let him back in.

Another way to do it is If you want to try and remove the female for the same time you are qt'ing the new guy. Then add the new guy first for a few days then add the female back in.
