Ok i bought a used 180 gallon tank. i was wondering to make sure it does not leak could i just re seal it with some type of epoxy? And if i can what kind do i use?

The proper way to re-seal a tank is to remove all the old silicone with a razor blade, wipe down the corners with rubbing alcohol, and apply new silicone. It sounds daunting and scary, but its really very simple and cheap.

i second the post made above. i was a bit apprehensive about resealing an old ten gallon i had, but once i did it i was surprised at how incredibly easy it is. if i was to do it again though, i would probably look into different ways to make the seams come out neater than those that i made. wearing a glove and using tape come to mind. you may want to do this outside if it's possible too, because the smell of curing silicone wasn't my favorite thing in the world. take your time with it, and be sure to let it cure fully before water testing, and you'll do just fine. you can purchase aquarium silicone at an lfs or online, or i think you can use silicone from home depot, but be careful which one you choose if you go that route. someone please point out the correct one, because i can't recall which it is.

Post a few pics of the seams if you think there are any places that make you nervous and I'm sure you will get some constructive feedback;)

ok i will How do i leavel out the stand and tank because i want to leak test if fist and i dont want it to be unlevel.

Set it up and see if it's level, you can use a level if you have one. If not post back and I'll find a link that will show you how to check for level using several feet of airline tubing and a little water.

From there you can use shims to ensure the tank is level.
