Hi folks, as a result of so many of you sharing about how vulnerable seahorses are to bacteria and just how dangerous that is to their health I re-worked an area of my seahorse tank that I believe was at risk. I had built an acrylic box 5x7x5 that I placed at the back wall. It had holes drilled in it so it could house 2 small Rio pumps that created flow at the bottom of the tank to help keep food and other particles in suspension. It also created nice height dimension and I thought might even be a safe place for pods to reside. There was no way to practical to run a brush and clean the inside walls though. I decided not to risk it housing bacteria so it is gone and I feel better about having a safer environment for my pretty ponies.
