I got a call from Chuck the general manager of Petsmart this evening. I explained to him the problem that happened in my tank (see the "WHY ME" thread) . He told me that I should have never gone to his store for saltwater problems cause they don't sell saltwater. I explained that since they carried everything for saltwater aquariums that I figured they would be knowledgeable on what they sell. He told me that I should have gone to Rochester to a specialist with my problem and that they are not going to do anything about the problem. So basically I went into that store spent $20.00 to lose $3000.00. What a pet store they are. They don't even stand behind their product or their employees. Just the type of place we need in this area. You have a problem and all they can do is belittle you and screw your stuff up when you are there for help. UNBELIEVABLE!!!!!!!!!!! Needless to say, I am ****ed to say the least.

I don't what to tell ya except for the possibility that you can keep going moving up the corporate food chain. Though I doubt that will get you anywhere.

Dude, I realize that you have had a big issue with your tank, but as has been previously said, PetSmart does not have salt water fish. They are not knowledgeable on saltwater fish or problems that saltwater has. They only sell some things (salt, dry goods, not even good food). I have never had a problem with anyone in the store, but I do not go there for saltwater advice. My dog however loves the store. It sucks to lose everything in your tank, it has happened to us, and I am sure to most other people, ask someone knowledgeable before going off the deep end, usually a few hours will not make a difference. With all of the knowledgeable people on this site, I wouldn't ask ANY store personnel about what to do in a saltwater tank. I don't want to sound harsh, but dude...carol

Yeah i know. I could say it a thousand times and still feel like crap. I know I should have came here first. I was just freakin out cause what I was seeing and ran up town. Like I also said. I realize they don't sell corals and fish, but they have everything else there. I feel as though if you are going to sell things then you staff needs to be knowledgeable about what they sell as well. I've had more suggestions on here and support in the past few days with this then they gave me in a week. I thank everyone for their help and all.
