ready for anemones?

hello!

I am new to this forum and pretty new to the saltwater community. My setup right now is a 29 gallon tank with 2 ocellaris clownfish, 1 diamond goby, 1 scarlet skunk shrimp, and a cleanup crew.

the question I wanted to ask was whether or not anemones require adding supplements to the water for it to grow and live healthily? also how long should the tank be established for before someone adds anemone's to his tank (assuming the conditions of the water is ideal)?

thanks!

For the most part, no supplements need to be added. However, some (( myself included )) have noticed that certain anemones (( in my case S. Haddoni )) do better with higher levels of Mag -- though water changes with a quality salt should provide enough of that.

In general, it is best to have the tank up and running for 6 months (( or so )) before placing any hosting anemone in there. That time frame can be de/increased depending on the experience of the hobbyist in question. There are 2 main reason for this time frame; first it allows the hobbyist to learn his/her tank -- to be able to tell, just be looking, that something is "off" before it becomes a problem. Secondly, it can take that long for a tank to fully settle in -- have seen numerous threads from new hobbyist about having issues around the 4-6 month mark.
