real flexable 1" tubing?

I'm looking for 1"ID, "spa flex" type tubing but I need something more flexable.

I need it for a tight spot and spa flex is alittle to stiff to make the bends I need.

Any thoughts?

thanks,

Dave

I thought about that but I was thinking about the algea etc.. because its clear.

ahhgg, its my last bit of plumming before I test fill!!

You should be able to get black vinyl tubing which would solve your algea problem and your flex problem.

If you cannot find 1" ID in black, wrap either the clear vinyl or the reinforced vinyl tubing with electrical tape. You can get the tape in several colors if you want to differentiate between return/drain/other lines.

Personally I used just plain black because I had it on hand. Works like a charm.

i recently found some black vinyl tubing at Wannemakers in Downers grove. the outside is ridgid but the ridging is designed so the tubing can not be crushed(mainly for pond intallation).

vinyl tubing can be hard to manipulate at first and depending on the bend it can kink. this stuff is WAY more flexible than regular vinyl tubing. i highly recommend it.

Rob,

Thanks. I remember you posting that but I couldn't remember where you got it. I'm heading there now!

ps - I got the squart installed and I will be trying it out in a few hours.

Jut curious, I am using clear vinyl tubing and I have algae growing in the tube. Is that somethign I should worry about?

I bought some very very flexible "high" pressure hose from Ace in Romeoville. It is blue and black in color. Works great.

Rob,

I just picked it up(bought the last little bit they had) and tried it out. It works great. This is some good stuff!
