Hi,
I finally decided to go for the tek t5 6 lamps for my 55 gallon tank which will be upgraded to a 75 gallon in a year. The problem I have is that I will only be running 4 lamps and I dont know if it will hurt the ballast if I jsut use 4 lamps(2 for inner and 2 for the outer). My main concern is that the inner can have up to 4 lamps and I dont know if using just 2 lamps will harm the ballast. I dont want to put all four lamps in the inner because I want to have actinics on before I fire up the GE and the aquablue plus.
If there will be a problem, I will jsut go for the tek 4 lamp but I'd like to know if these four lamps are good enough for a 75 gallon tank? I would like to take care of some clams and some sps corals. I will put the clams and sps corals directly where the GE bulbs shines when I upgrade to the 75 gallon.
Can you guys recommend a better lamp combination than this:
one ge 6500
one aquablue plus
two actinic blueplus
I also heard that there will be a new actinic bulb in the market. I think it is SA(correct me if I am wrong). I will be buying that instead of the two blue plus if it is now available. I'd like the color of my corals to show up really well so any recommendations are welcome. Thanks a lot
