Really nice Red Haddoni at my LFS

this is me

Just came back from my lfs and they have a beautiful red carpet. It's gotta be at least 20" in diameter. Looking as healthy as it can be though the red can be brighter under better lighting. This is the same lfs that I bought my red haddoni from.

Nope. It's lower than that. My lfs prices are pretty competitive. Most of the time it's at least 15% less than online site like LA.

that thing is sweet! It's mouth is a little open, but that's probably caused by another species, or some chemical, in the water. I bet you're right. Put it under some strong lighting and it should color nice.

It's in the same tank as a couple RBTA and carpet mini. All are doing well.
The price of this thing is about the same as what DD would charge but with a much healthy and a bullet proof specimen.
I've never seen such large haddoni or any other species for that matter this healthy at a lfs.
Still, I hope whoever is picking this thing up better realize that it will eat a lot of stuff in the tank for the size that it is. I don't see any fish in captivity can escape this massive underwater Venus fly trap once it's being caught by the sticky tentacles. It's almost too big for for commercial trading and should be left in the wild IMO.

The reason why I was in the lfs was because I had to pick up more snails because my red haddoni had eaten most of them.

I didn't ask where it came from. But I do know that the store owner doesn't like to take anything back. Too much risk of unwanted pest getting into his system. But pests are being shipped from the ocean all the time so I don't really think that's the real reason.
I only talked to him about the price and about the red haddoni I picked up from there 4months ago.
I don't expect this to sell quickly with its price even though I think it's pretty fair in our area. The last one they had took over a year.
You almost had to have a very large system dedicated for anemones and I don't think many people have that.
