Reassure me this is normal

I bought two clowns on Friday. They were not paired but had been in adjoining tanks so they could see each other. They are constantly with each other and exhibiting the signs of pairing. My concern is they stay in a back corner of the tank. Is this just because they are still trying to get the lay of the land and go through their pairing ritual? Should I be concerned at all that they are somewhat "hiding"?

Give them time. My percs hid forever and they are in a tank by themselves. They still float at the top of the tank when the lights go off. I'm not sure anything is 'normal' for clowns.

IMO "normality" as it pertains to clowns is open to interpretation. I think all clowns are born a little mentally challenged. LOL!

LOL....Thanks for the replies. I know clowns are aptly named, I just wanted to make sure I wasn't seeing some behavior I should be concerned about.
