Recalled to Active Duty.

I've been recalled to active duty (Army) after being out for 8 years, not by choice.

I'll be leaving at the end of next month for up to 18 months. So I guess I won't be on here as much for a while.

I wonder where I'll be going?

My wife says she's gonna take care of my tanks.

I may have to get her a screen name on here just in case.

Damn...8 years out I've only heard of chopper pilots pulled from that far back. Maybe with your aqua experience they need you at Pearl. Add me to the list of vols if she needs help. Gods speed man.

Thanks everyone for the support.

I was in the Inactive Ready Reserve (IRR).

I got paid to get out in '98. I get a check every year for twice the number of years I was in. In my case that's 26 years ( I was in for 13)

A condition of getting that check is to stay in the IRR.

It was just luck of the draw. I do have a security clearance so that may have helped me get picked. Other than that, I'm not special.
