Recommend a nano skimmer

I am looking for a new skimmer for my 24 gallon tank. Is there a good option available at a decent price? (under $75)

nothing decent under 75....expect to spend 150...this isnt a cheap hobby as you know. save up that much or you are throwing away money on garbage.

in a 24 jbj? with top on? zero option but Sapphire...or possibly a new euro reef nano...open top? that gives you a few more options?

my advice? keep doing 10% WC every week, save your money, and wait for real reviews of the new euro reefs to appear. or buy the euro reef and write us a review....you can come into one for @ 120....with the good rep. that euro reef has for their skimmers, I'd think we'll not see a repeat of the Current USA Fission Skimmer (the ultimate piece of garbage I have encountered)

I saved some cash and bought the Deltec HOB skimmer. It's stupid expensive but works unbelievably well, and it isn't even broken in yet.
My neighbor uses the Remora and it works really well too. It isn't nearly as loud as people make it out to be...

IMO-go with the Tunze DOC 9002 Skimmer. I have a 24g jbj, and it fits perfectly in the 2nd chamber...(That is with the top off though)

Awesome skimmer!!! Plug and play, very easy to use. Started skimming right when it was turned on, and i have never seen a microbubble..ever!!

Good luck..

and if you're still having issues, bump up to 25% water changes and make sure your sponges/bio balls are rinsed out every 3rd day. be sure to use ro/di water. I also think Sapphire may be your best bet later down the line.

my problem with the Euro Reef nano skimmer is that they use the Resun pumps. I've heard nothing but bad things about them. I'm leaning toward the tunze nano as well

Deltec MCE300 or MCE600 are the best out besides the Warner in my opinion, they arent cheap but their performance is unmatched

i just bought the tunze nano... i should be getting it very soon. Just heard about the Resun pumps and Euro Reef customer service said they're a newer design, and the smaller pumps are not rusting out.. last a long time, and just plain work well. They tried using Sicce pumps, but they didn't work as well as they wanted. Interesting info. I'd try that skimmer as well.....

I have the Aqua Remora HOB skimmer and I works like a charm.

I personally have heard good things about the tunze 9002 skimmer, this is the skimmer ill be putting on my 24 aquapod.

I just bought the euro reef today- $110 including $12 shipping. I'll give ya'll a review once it gets installed. Some local reefers reviewed the Tunze nano that they didn't like..... so I just went with the euro reef on a prayer :-)

check out sapphire skimmers. I'm pretty satisfied with it on my bc29
As am I +1

Have no problem with my CPR Bakpak. I am sure it's not the best, but it's good enough to keep my nitrates near 0. I'd say that's good enough for me.
