Recommend a red fish for me

my suggestion would be to find a really bright red maroon clown or pair (i've seen some that are very red, particularly those with white bars)

every miniatus i've seen is pale pink with white spots. never seen one that actually looked like the pics on the websites. i also think goupers are boring since they are not very active and not that interesting looking IMHO, and they grow into giant creatures that eat your little fish

They are pretty shy, especially at first.....after awhile they come out more....they like to hover under ledges and in caves......they WILL eat smaller fish but only ones that fit whole in their mouths, unlike say triggers that peck to death. They are one of the hardiest fish you can buy.

I guess I should have mentioned that I'm looking for a fish that isn't shy and is an open swimmer. All the fish I have now are like this and just want to stick with the same general personality.

How about a Saddleback Butterfly? I know it's not red, but it has some red around the tail.

goatfish?

Fun to watch it use it's whiskers to sift through the sand and reach into the live rock in search of food.

The juveniles aren't pretty or really red. I find the adult to be stunning and one of the most underrated fish. I've had mine for a year and couldn't be happier.
