Recommend RO/DI unit?

Been getting water from Vince, but I think I'm going to buy one now. Any good ro/di unit that somewhere in $130.

Thanks,

xenia2 here’s a nice 0 PPM setup in the price range you quoted above even after shipping. I bought mine from them back in May, 0 problems 0 TDS lol. There are several others here that have bought from here as well. I would have loved to buy from an RC sponsor but just could not get one in my price range with the drinking water setup. The drinking water setup was a deal with the wife and the justification as it would benefit not just the reef tank but the whole family lol. Filters for our fridge were very expensive and had to be replaced every 6 months. I figure the payback for this system should be about 2 to 3 years. I will most likely buy all replacement filters from RC sponsors.

This looks like like a nice setup. What is the clean to waste water ratio?

Yes they take standard size filters and RO membranes. I’m not sure why the prices are different. You will have to go over the descriptions of each to see what the differences are between them. I’m sure the more expensive ones have more features.

OK, just purchased this unit :)

For purposes of a reef tank you'll want to remove the GAC stage that is after the DI. You'll also want to unclip the DI stage and orient it vertically with bottom up flow. If you want to rig it so that it produces RO water for drinking, and DI water for your tank, You'll need a few fittings and a check valve. Drop us an email if you'd like and we can send you a plumbing diagram.
