150gal (W24"XL48"XH30") acrylic tank. Fish with 150lbs of live rock and several mushr, small and large polyps - some hard coral. just using the return for water flow - set up and equipment recommendations??
Some LPS and SPS nothing like some of the tanks I have seen on this site. however I plan on adding some more. Wet dry filter with a red sea skimmer, and a ultraviolet Tenecor acrylic tank with 4 returns - 1080 gph with little giant 4mdqx-sc. the only circulation is the 4 returns. 2 facing upward for surface agitation and the other 2 facing opoosite sides.
2 14000 MH and 2 sets of actinic compact bulbs.
Oh - approx 130lbs of live rock - 3 tangs 3 clown 3 bubble tip anenome (I know that it may cause a problem with your pump) they haven't moved for over a year. 6 cromis 2 cardinals
Thanks in advance for the info - looking at your product which one? where should I place - hight from the top of the tank and location?
I know that it all depensds on the poistion of the live rock.
So you are looking for one of our products for flow? That is what I was asking as we have a 64 page catalog and make just about everything for aquariums.
For flow I would get 2 7400/2 and a 7095. This would be the ideal for your coral choices. I would extend and T the intake of the pump below ther rock so the anemones will be safe, 14" of intake will reduce the force so nothing gets hurt and it also sweeps debris of the sand. Back corner near the top to front center.
Yes, Streams are ideal for leathers and SPS. Your tank is not very large and you have anemones and corals that are better suited to the flow of the 7400/2.
