Recommended amount of lights

Hi I'm starting the setup on my 290 tank. It's 96 long and 24 wide 30 deep. I bought 3 radion 30 pros. I'm wondering do I need more then 3? My tank will be a mix of SPS and LPS. Do I really need 5 or is that overkill? Thanks guys!

I would supplement the radions with some T5's. I added two ATI blue plus bulbs to my 48" tank and I was able to pull more colors out of my corals.

I have 2 on a 6' tank, just keep SPS under the lights.

I would add at least 1 more.

I have 4 gen 3's on a 72" tank.

I'd want at least one every two feet. To more easily avoid hot spots and achieve more even par levels, you might want more than that. I don't think five would be overkill at all.

For an aquarium your size, it would be best to use 4 XR30wG3 Pros. If you have any other questions, please contact us directly.
