I don't see spending the extra on Reef Crystals for all the "trace minerals" and what-not. I use Instant Ocean, and my 5 month old tank has perfect levels of calcium, KH, Magnesium, etc. The only reason to get Reef Crystals would be if you have corals and need a large surplus of Ca,Mg,Mn,etc.

I have tried Reef Crystals, Oceanic, Instant Ocean, and Seachem Salinity. I am back to Instant Ocean because as others have said it is the cheapest and reliable. The Seachem Salinity was nice since it was batch tested and told you the exact levels of everything in the bucket you purchased but it was pricey.

Aquavitro Salinity. Within hours of the first water change I used with it, the polyps on my sarco leather had never been more extended. Guaranteed lab tested numbers with good alk pH and Ca and all the traces. Worth the price imo
