Looking into upgrading my Evergrow led to T5 this year

tank 265 with 2 cross bars.
84wx32hx24w
mixed tank (zoos, softies, lps and of course sps)

Im currently looking at ATI dimmable , 2 fixture s of 36 = 72"L which will leave
about 6' on both side of the tank which i dont think is bad.

or should i get 3 24 ati fixture

Could you post a picture of your tank? IMO, a 39w bulbs might have a tough time punching through a 32" tall tank.

I agree, I think you may have to find at least a 54w fixture.

With T5 increasing the wattage doesn't increase the penetration. The bulb uses more watts because it is longer. Lumen output is still proportional to length of bulb.

2 of the 6x39W would be good IMO..
