Roger,

I finally purchased a 210 gl tank 72 x 25 x 29 tall to replace my 75 gl standard tank. I currently have 2 6105 pumps. The new to me tank is drilled and has two on the back wall about 18" from each end overflows and dual returns, and I have a large return pump that will that will do up to 4000 gph at the 13 feet of head I have Will my 2 6105's be sufficiant or do I need to add two more? Also do you reccomend placment as the same as you reccomended for my 75 gl one at each end pointed at the front center of the tank?

Thanks in advance
Mark

It will be a mixed reef mainly lps but some sps and several tangs It will be a minalistict setup only about 75lbs live rock in the tank but I will keep 200lbs in the sump

With so little rock and fewer flow-demanding corals there's a good chance the 6105s will be all you'll need. I'd suggest just getting started with those and then decide if more flow is needed.

As for placement, I'd try them both on the back wall, one between each overflow and the end panel. Point them diagonally across the tank, each aimed towards the opposite corner.

Craig,

Thanks for the information, since I am building a foam rock wall on the whole back side I need to leave the space needed so I think I will add two more. My next questions are !. Since the lower flow corals will be on the bottom and the sps will be on top can I get away with using my two 6105's on the top and two smaller pumps on the bottom portion of the tank, if so what would be suitable for the bottom two? 2. I will be controlling them with my Apex. What splitter or splitters do I need to to control the two pumps on the right and the two pumps on the left. I guess what I am looking for is a splitter that has two inputs and two outputs for each input if that make sense. 3. What my plans are is to mount the powerheads on the back wall between the overflows and the corner of the tank one 8" from the top and the other 8" from the bottom all four pointed towards the center of the tank. I think this will be the most asteticly pleasing, but will it give a good flow?

Thanks in advance
Mark
