Red Alae and Rock Anenome Problems

I have red slime algae taking over my tank. My rocks, sand, and glass is covered with it. Also I have noticed rock anenomes start blooming everywhere in the tank. What can I do about this? I have started to do more water changes, but it really hasn't stopped the problem. Is there a type of livestock that I should add to help fight this?

Probably should give more tank info, such as:
- How old is the tank?
- What kind of water? (e.g., RO/DI)
- Skimmer, light cycle, fuge, stock, feeding amount, etc.

Either the tank is young and has new tank syndrome or there is excessive nutrients.

For rock anemones, a lot of folks inject the center with kalk slurry, Joe's Juice, or even really hot water. I don't know what eats them, although if you don't have any other corals in there, you can hire a cnidarian eater, like peppermint shrimp or some non-reef safe fish...

The tanks as a whole is 7 years old, but the live stock was transfered from my old tank to a new one 3 years ago. The tank is 150 gal. and I have a Euro skimmer. I have compact and VHO lights. I do have corals in there and I can not use those types of shrimps with the livestock I currently have.
