Red bubble algae: Red Valonia. what do I do

read a little lower on the page it gives a pretty good detailed description on how to remove it. Are you ure thas what it is and not cyano (red slime) it also produces bubbles. A pic would help in the determing factors of a proper ID and removal.

Botryocladia isn't really a pest species like Valonia, similar appearance but an entirely different type of algae. No need to get excited and/or worry about it. Many people like this algae because it eventually grows a vine-like structure and is quite nice looking. Tangs love the stuff. I had some of it in my tank until I added one.

it isn't cyano. i have had that before. it is in one small patch, and it is nothing but bubbles. I tried to see it i could blast it with a trkey baster ad that stuff didn't budge

The only way that worked for me was to remove the rock. Pick them off with something sharp to make sure there isn't any remains, and scrub the area. I had no luck with the other methods.
