I've got a 20 gal tank. some red bubbles have started congregating on a piece of live rock. it doesnt look anything like green bubble algae does. the bubbles seem to grow very unsymetrical and have more of a random shape. it almost appears as if there is an air pocket inside of them. These bubbles have been growing more like a colony and not really spreading off this piece of rock. ALSO, to complicate matters, there are extremely small white to light purple specs on them and with a closer examination i noticed that these specs seem to move around very slowly (like little worms).
other than this, the tank is very healthy with no ammonia or nitrite. nitrate is around 10-15ppm. all the fish and other invertabretes are very health. the tank houses...
coral beauty
bicolor psuedo
tomato clown and long tenticle anemone
2 peppermint shrimp
and a number of blue leg hermints and astria snails.
I'll try and get a picture up as soon as possible. hopefully someone knows what this is...
