Red bug help

I guess I picked up some red bugs from the chat swap. I read here on RC, that interceptor will work to eradicate them. I also read that this is prescription meds, is there somewhere around Huntsville to get this stuff? Or do I just need to find a vet and tell them my 50-100lb acorpora has heartworms?

Does anyone have a different way to kills these pests?

If you have animals and in good with your vet they will probably sell you some pretty easy. If you dont have a Vet I'd just find one close to your house and tell them the deal. The main reason for interceptor being hard to get is cause if you give a dog heart worm treatment and he has heart worms it could/will kill him.. The vet tests your dog if he does have them they start him off very slow and work the treatment up. Some people dont want to pay for the vet visit so they just give the dog the meds and hope he lives..

If you tell the vet its to treat a saltwater tank for Red bugs. They will probably sell it to you.. Just make sure they know its not going anywhere near a dog. I dont think they will care. You can also order it from canada for a decent price.

If your vet won't sell you Interceptor tablet, I still have some that H@rry gave us (to share with club members in need.) It's not brand new, but I understand that the tablet lasts a few years. Let me know how much you need. We may have enough for two to three treatments.
