Red Bugs! HELP PLEASE!!!

Hi everyone!!!

I have had 3 tanks and never have had to deal with red bugs. Can someone please tell me what these little suckers are and how to get rid of them??? I have seen a few on the glass and I know they can become a pest. They are not a lot of them but I do not want their population to grow.

I have a 12 g Nano Cube and do regular water changes, so I am not sure if I picked them up from corals that I put in the tank or where they stemmed from!!

Any help is appreciated and I wish everyone a very Happy and Safe New Year!!

must likely not RB's
perhaps flatworms the regular kind.
Pics would help.

I have had flatworms before and I know what those look like but these look like tiny little red ants and I have seen them on the glass only. I will try to take pics to show you.

Thanks for the feedback!

Do you have acropora? I doubt it in a 12g nanocube. Are any corals particularly bothered? Moreso than normal? I doubt it. There can be pods that look like red bugs, and they don't really matter. The only time that anything becomes a problem is when it bothers corals. I wouldn't have cared about having redbugs, except for the fact that it was causing tissue recession in some of my acroporas. Otherwise, no big deal.

Point is, if there is nothing bothering your corals, then it doesn't really matter.
