Does anyone know anything about red bugs. I think I may have them on One sps. They are little red to orangeish specks creeping around this one coral .. Their not tiger pods or anything like that. Any help would be greatly Appreciated.

they are extremely small and are usually found on the bluer colored acroporas.

They can be eradicated with a drug called interceptor, but that is not without its hazards.

I tryed to snap a pic but without a macro lens it's useless! The coral looks fine but I can see those little buggers crawlen around!

red bugs....highly debated as to weather there harmfull of not....i know there pretty prevelant around this area.....this is my second time to get them....there populations come and go....sometimes you can see hundreds sometimes you can only spot a few....imo intercepter is the only way to guarantee there not there
the only "hazards" with intercepter is it will kill off a lotta pods
( but they come back quick) it will kill some hermits...its hit or miss....some it gets some it doesnt?? it wont harm any snails or urchins or worms...

i would just assume to not have them so i have done the intercepter treatments....im finishing up my 3rd treatment this weekend and since doing it i have seen better polyp extension
