Red Bugs - What's the best plan?

Trust Me I'm an Engineer
Hi all,

Discovered red bugs the other day, and I am trying to decide what I should do both in the short term and long term. They are on quite a few of my corals and a couple already died because of it.

I have revive, which is supposed to be a decent option for dipping specific colonies, right? So I will probably try that on the colonies I can remove, but several are well encrusted on large rock. I'd like to avoid treating the whole tank, since I have a mandarin and don't want to decimate the pod population.

The other factor here is that I am planning on upgrade in the next several months, so at that point I can treat all of the corals while I transfer them into the new tank. It is still several months out at least though, as I am just about to order the tank.

Do you guys have any tips or ideas of how to treat this to keep these things at bay until I can treat more completely? I have never dealt with these guys before, so any advice would be much appreciated.

If you can get all the colonies out of the tank and set up a QT for about a month, you could treat the QT with Interceptor

I'm not sure that revive affects red bugs... If it were me I'd take them out, do a Bayer dip then put them in qt. If you just need to buy some time then you can put them back in the main tank since even though they'll catch red bugs again from the ones left on your rocks they'll still have much less on them than they started with.

That's the link that made me think Revive should work for them. I don't have a QT setup at the moment, because I haven't added anything to the tank in several months, and my QT tank is currently being used to grow out some mangroves. I suppose I could move the mangroves to my main system and setup a QT.

What version of interceptor is recommended these days? What is the recommended procedure for doing the bayer dip?
