Red Bugs?

Woke up this morning and there were "things" floating around my tank so I turned the lights on. Upon closer inspection, they weren't technically just floating around as they had a tail for movement, though the current in the tank pretty much just carried them anywhere. Basicall think sperm with a red head...

Here is a picture I tried to take of one. They are maybe the size of a pin head. I don't think they are red bugs, but better safe than sorry.

I have two of them in a cup. I'll see if I can get a better picture, but this is likely as good as it will get.

Interesting creature. How old is your tank? It is not a redbug. Looks almost like a larve of something. I would venture to guess that you recently put live rock or a bunch of frags in your tank and those things hatched off of it and will probably die.

I added 3 fish about 2-3 weeks ago. Everything else has been the same for ~1 year. Here is another pic with the glass in it for size reference. It's a standard highball glass.

I don't know what it is but these have shown up in my friends tank twice about two weeks apart like some thing was on a spawning cycle. They disapeared in about a day but the fish also looked fatter... About 6 of us contemplated what they were, best guess was either hydroid or anemone spawn. At least they didn't seem to have a negative effect, also the tank was sps free an several years old.

Just found this on wiki half way down, looks like stage 3 of a flatworm, guess that could be it.
