Red bugs?

:uhoh2: okay, so I have had these red bugs in my tank for quite a while, not sold they are the sps keepers nightmare. They usually hang out on my glass of my display.

I've searched red bugs and most pics I have seen appear to have orange bodies, these are entirely red bodies. No orange at all. Got macro shots but can't up load to iPad. I have been looking at past photos of the week and they have been around.

No ill effects apparent yet. But I'll leave it up to the experts!

They are fast little buggers and have been on my milli as well. Not on my ssc!

Wife thinks they are cleaner bugs, if they are red bugs they survived a LNG time with no acro.

The image looks suspiciously like Red Bugs to me, but it's blurry.

The problem with RB is that some acropora do not grow as well, have the best coloration or polyp extension when RB's are present.

RB seemed to prefer my smoother skin acropora, but all acropora showed increased growth, coloration and PE after treatment with interceptor.

The pic does look like it could be redbugs, but would need a clearer picture. If you are having red colored bugs hanging out on the glass, you probably have some other kind of bug. Never heard of redbugs on the glass.

No more bugs on my acro for tonight. This piece did have a lil coloration problem, but. Assumed I was the trip to my aquarium that stressed it out.

Not sure what to think here, will see if the wife will get the pics off the camera to my iPad...

I'm still real new to the reef keeper game, I'm afraid to use interceptor because I don't wanna kill my pieces.

Interceptor only treats Arthropods. It will not hurt your corals, it does have a good chance of killing your crabs and shrimp if you use a large dose and do not do a water change or run carbon after treatment.

Finding interceptor is the difficult part.

Some people do not treat for them. I did treat and I was very happy with the results.

I believe the original interceptor is no longer made. Used it all throughout my 7 years of reefing without any losses besides inverts, clams were always ok too.

Does red bugs leave the acro? Because they have now been bug free all night... But when my halide comes on they will be back
