ok guys i really need your help on this one. I recently noticed that a few of my corals have red bugs on them. I've never used interceptor before. I was wondering how i could get some and how i would use it on my tank. I have a lot of snails, crabs, and a pistol shrimp that im worried about. Can i just move all the sps corals to a seperate tank and use the interceptor or are the red bugs in the rocks n stuff too? anyone out there can get me interceptor? I'd appreciate any help. Thanks guys.

Treating the corals outside the display will only kill those on the corals and their bases. It will help as a temporary measure but they will return. When you treat your display you can pretty much kiss all your crabs and most shrimp goodbye.
I've seen some crabs dead in <5 mins while others die the next day.

Probably a stupid question, as I'm pretty sure I know the answer is no, but will ask anyways to be sure. The "red bugs" are not red planaria right? Are they some type of isopod?

I have a few interceptor pills, but live in Corona.
I have treated my tank a few times and never lost my pistol shrimp. All my hermits were dead the next day, but the pistol hung on.

PM me if you want some.

Matthew, check out this link, from Eric Borneman.

Awhile back, I did the treatment as he suggested, except that I let it go for 8 days. During that time the SPS treatment tank had a 150MH light on it. And since this was an isolated tank, I used a much stonger dosage of the interceptor.

So far so good, there is no reoccurence of the red bugs.
