Is it okay to setup up a QT setup plumbed from your main system??
I was reading on another forum and someone was conducting this, so I asked about it, everyone jumped in and said its best to be done like that. Is this true??

I don't think its a good idea to plumb a QT tank into the main tank for the following reasons. If your using it to isolate livestock from the main display in order to use medication to get rid of some pathogen than the meds may be able to get into the main display. If you're using it to isolate the livestock just for observation you run the risk of introducing any diseases that the animal may be harboring. I think that it is wise to just setup a seperate tank for corals and one for fish since the meds. and be done with it. You will save yourself money and stress in the long run.

Hawk'ster,

You are welcome to use one of my pills, if you want to try a different batch.

Let me know.

plc001 thank you so kindly:) Hopefully I will have a fresh batch this weekend.
