Red coris wrasse for sale

Won't find this old of a juvenile red coris wrasse at the pet store, it is starting to change colors. Price is $30.00 obo

cool fish, but not reef safe

When I bought it I had asked the fish store if it was reef safe, I was told yes, then after buying it and getting it home I found out it wasn't. Really It doesn't bother the corals on the rock but have noticed some hermit crab remains and lost a brittle starfish but don't know if it was due to this fish. The only problem I have with it is that it turns over any of the small frags I place on the sand. I'm scared once it gets older it might start flipping over some of my bigger corals which is why I am selling. It is a cool fish thoguh and if noone takes it I will see how long i can keep it with out it causing too much problems.

Beautiful fish!! Might want to ask questions here before buying fishies out there just to be safe Stores aren't always the best source of information. There is a great book by Scott Michaels called Reef Fishes that tells which ones are safe and some guidelines for diet, tank size, hardiness, etc, etc. if you would rather not ask here first.

I have that book, and all in all it is very helpful and accurate I use it mostly for the hardiness rating system.

I had bought it from someone I thought would know what he was talking about. It might be different opinions or something, again it depends I guess what people consider reef safe. Yes it is coral safe but not invert safe from what I read. The fact it eats some of my hermits isn't a problem really, I wouldn't get rid of it if tha was the onl thing it did. The only thing I see it eattign is the food i give them to eat and I'm sure the amphipods and copepods in the tank. it is the fact it likes turning things over that is on the sand and with some of my small frags that I'm trying to let grow, i'm scared it might end up causing some of them to close up and die if they keep getting turned over. At least I think it is a the culprit, I will really miss the fish if I get rid of it and it ends up not being the one that was turning over the frags. It is a nice fish.

Good luck catching it,mine was able to hide in less than 1 inch of water when I moved the tank and couldn't be found.He resurfaced 3 days later,they are very cool fish though.
