hey everyone my friend got a red coris wrasse yesterday and he drip acclimated it for about 2hours. he has been calling me n he said he hasn't seen it all day. i know that this wrasse usally sleeps and hides underneath the sand but thats all i know about them. the wrasse is about 7inches big and is in my friends 120gallon with 150#'s LR and a 15inch zebra eel. Are they hardy or delicate fish? and if he does find the wrasse what are some food that are good for the wrasse? thanks a lot. his computer is on the whack so im helping him out and trying to find some info on these guys

Let it be. When it comes out, which could be 1-3 days later, feed New Life Spectrum pellets, shrimp, fish, octopus.

Hardy? If it is healthy and the tank is in good shape, then yes, very.
TELL HIM NOT TO GO DIGGING TO FIND IT!!!!!

CANNOT STRESS THAT MORE!!!

I have a 7-8" red coris. when i first fot him he his under the sand for 2 WEEKS!!! Im serious! I thought he had jumped out when I was gone and my dog ate him. Needless to say one day i was looking at my tank and out of nowhere he came out of the sand.

Had him over a year now. Eats spirulina pellets, krill pellets, krill, mussles, cockle and mysis. Seems very hardy, he was in my tank when it went through a BAD case of ich....never got a single spot on him. Never tried to jump either.

i just got off the fone with him a couple mins ago and he told me that when he turned off the lights he saw the head popping out of the sand but it did not come out. and when he turned away the wrasse went completely under the sand again. ill tell him not to try n dig it out and just wait until its ready to come out. and ill also tell him that they should be hardy if all is well. thanks for the info guys.

i can't find my 6 line in a week now - last time i saw him was last monday at night
everyone has told me to leave him alone - he will come out sooner or later
or if dead -my cleanup crew and cleaner shrimp will get him
frustrating - only saw him 1 day - the 1st day i got him

Six lines don't bury themselves...They make a protective mucus cocoon..., they are usually very active fish, he may not have made it

I went through the same with my Iridis Wrasse, he buried himself for a couple days when I first got him

well i got a call from my buddy today and he woke up this morning to find the wrasse dead. luckily enough it was found in the front of the tank.
