Red Diatoms?

I have this stuff mostly in my sand and it looks kinda like diatoms but its a velvety red color..? i cant get a real good pic but will try....the stuff is low profile and is kindof fuzzy looking once its really cluttered

Rusty red ?? If so you might have some red planaria flatworms.
