I have been kinda holding out. I received mine from Coral in the Reef in January 2011 as a tiny stick of a frag. Here is is today.

Here is mine, it has a slightly tighter growth pattern than many I have seen. This came directly from Dave (250G) when he had his big tank up and running. It is still one of my very favorites.
I have it halfway under T5 x 8 and it gets lots of random flow

A comment about this acro's growth and hardiness.

My small frag was shipped with a hole in the bag. By the time I got it, the frag was out of water. I put it in the tank fully expecting it to be DOA or shortly after.

That was about 2 months ago.

now it's about twice as tall with good polyp extension (though not the greatest color)...

Thanks! It has went to turbo growth mode since the new tank and LEDs. This is it 8 months ago before I placed it on the rock work.

Thanks, I went and saw Daves tank many years ago when I was fairly new, his tank was an inspiration for me to one day have something like his reef, I could have stayed there all day. I ended up with almost 20pcs that day, most fresh cut from his display because he had nothing ready. I didnt care, had to have them. Some made it some didnt, I have at least six pieces that are still pluggin away. I still remember what he said to me which translated to " I dont really sell this piece or that piece to just anybody" I was happy he made an exception !

Mine came in with some broken tips, not worried about that. Trying to figure out where to place it in the tank. I have a 70 gallon tank lit by 4x54w T5s. Currently have the red dragon about 12" below the lights in a lower flow area. Anyone keeping this coral under T5s? What level do you keep yours at?
