red dragonets spawning

well over the years ive seen and found alot of neat stuff in my reef, seen my seahorse's mate and have babies, but havent ever had any of my fish spawn so witnessing this was a pure pleasure for me and this went on for over a hour last night, grrrr having issue's uploading pic's

I had a pair of dragonets that would spawn nightly when I started turning off lights. The anthias would "line up" for the free meal. The male disappeared into an anenome, I believe, and was replaced about a month later with another. The existing female and new male picked right back up on the 2nd night together.

Watching them do their spiral dance before they spawn in awesome. We are waiting to move and hopefully setup a system to try and raise the spawn. Nice job.

My recollection is that there was a thread (or more) in the breeding forum on that. I don't have the patience to try.

i seen video's of them doing it, but having a fish do it was a first for me after 6 ears. most of my fish are in pairs, granted i know most will never breed in my tank { fairy\flasher wrasse's } but was very neat to see as well as my nassarith snails started spawning at the same time and my potters started doing the dance a little, my have too catch the dragonettes and set-up a separate tank for them, not that i have time to try and raise fry nor space to do it lol but my 6 yr old daughter doesnt like the thought of the stuff being eaten lol she use to get mad if i didnt catch all the seahorse fry and seen my yw pair snatch babies out of the water
