Red Fairy Wrasse

This was labeled Red Fairy Wrasse. I thought/ was hoping it was a social fairy/ long fin wrasse but I dont see any blue. Any ideaif that is correct?

Hard to tell because stress can change colors.

Its a whipfin fairy wrasse, Cirrhilabrus filamentosus. They can be on the aggressive side for fairy wrasses.

Thanks guys I was kind of afraid of that. I love the red but am a little worried about the aggression. So maybe a few questions. I currently have in my 55 a mated pair of percs, claudia wrasse and small yellow tang. I am thinking of going to a 90 and wanted to go peaceful since i picked up 2 golden assessors. So will the whipfin be problematic with the basslets and other peaceful flasher and fairy wrasses? Now Im thinking maybe going aggressive and keeping the basslets in a nano tank. 90 gal aggr tank with a pair of hawkfish, pair dwarf angels, toby and few larger flashers would the whipfin be problematic in tis scenario?

So far in QT no aggression towards basslets. flashes at the green chromis a little.

Beautiful Fish! Love how he has lines on his head that remind me of a 6 line wrasse. Another question I have a Claudia wrasse in the DT he shouldnt cause problems with a larger established wrasse would he?

No, the H. claudia might show interest and a little dominance when the whipfin is added, but it will subside quickly if it does happen. Halichoeres wrasses usually dont pay much attention to fairy wrasses.
