red flat bug

I assume you're referring to flatworms. There are a number of options including flat worm exit. I would do a quick search.

they are a pain but do not hurt anything. I've had them for a few months and siphon them out as much as possible. I'm too nervous to do a flatworm exit treatment. Need to pick up a sixline wrasse to hopefully take care fo them.

Flatworm Exit is awesome stuff. Don't be afraid to use it! Your flatworms will be toast. Remove your carbon, leave the skimmer on (and watch it because it might become very active), use 1.5x the recommended dose, remove the dead flatworms with a canister filter or filter sock on the overflow. After they're all dead (I wait about a half hour) use lots of carbon and do a large water change. Voila! No more flatworms. Your corals, fish and invertebrates will be more bothered by you fiddling with the tank than by the Flatworm Exit.

thank you i will try that. how many people have luck with a sixline wrasse i hate to put a new fish in if it will not work
