Red Flatworm Problem

well a little update, flatworm problem is still there. but, i will say, not as bad. dont notice any on the glass anymore. but they are still on rocks and powerheads. i now run 2 skimmers on my tank to make sure my nitrates stay in line and purchased a reactor for carbon (no longer just a bag in the sump). everything else in my tank is fine (just temp changes now)
the mandarin may not be eating the flatworms, and i dont think the sixline is either.
so i was looking and saw the yellow coris wrasse (its not really a coris) and was wondering if i would be ok adding it to my tank. will it fight with the sixline?

I'm having the same problem with the flat worms. I bought the flatworm exit but haven't used it yet. I'm too scared because there are soooooo many! I've tried syphoning but i'm not even putting a dent in their population. Plus my tank is a nano cube so I don't have anything to run the carbon, just a bag sitting in the back. I think I'm just going to treat the live rock individually in a separate tank using dt water during a water change. At least I'll eliminate a large number and can eventually treat the main tank. Let me know if you figure out a better way!
As long as you remove the dead flat worms you should be just fine with exit. It may take a few treatments but they are easily eliminated. I just got into the habit of treating with exit each time I did a water change on my 92. with a nano it should be a bit easier to remove any sensitive inverts while you are treating just to play it safe...
Also, try using an air tube to siphon them out. Its perfect size for the flat worms and it wont empty your tank in a matter of seconds.

Last time I had issues with flatworms I used a small airline hose and into a filter sock to get rid of those sucker. A spotted mandarin and some velvet nudibranches took care of the rest.
I've heard the salifert flatworm exit works really well within minutes of application.

I finally had the guts to do the salifert last night. Because the rocks were literally covered in the worms I took half of them out and treated them separately. Then I treated the tank and I scooped out all the worms that were floating around with the biggest net I could find. I also did a 30% water change after. Everything is still alive this morning! Unfortunately some of my corals suffered because they couldn't open for a long time with the worms on them.
The sooner you get rid of them.... the better!
